ECOSOC
From the ashes of WWII arose 6 fundamental sectors that ultimately built what the UN stands for today, a beacon of global cooperation and coordination. ECOSOC was founded with the intent to bring the world’s indifferent countries together to tackle one of the most important concerns of the modern world: money. Although empires come and go, the major drive for many things in the modern world is economic gain, and when that begins endangering and threatening the lives of everyday civilians, it is up to the committee to find the most promising solution for all sides. Get ready to dwell into challenges such as poverty and global wealth inequality in an environment ever more hostile towards developing nations as first world countries continue to hoard their fortunes. Furthermore, it is critical for delegates to converse on ways of maintaining sustainable development and working towards a brighter future, all the while making sure that each countries’ agendas are met.

UNWOMEN
Are you passionate about gender equality and human rights? Join the UN women committee where we will be looking into two prevent topics: women’s reproductive rights and women in sports. We will investigate global issues like Roe v. Wade and how the ability to access reproductive healthcare affects all humans- not just women. We will also investigate women in sports looking into the blurred line of inclusion and women equality. If you're ready to participate in a meaningful debate, the UN women committee is for you.

UNHRC
Join the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in searching for solutions to promote and protect human rights. Hundreds of millions of people suffer human rights abuses every year, and that number includes indigenous people and increases when technology is involved. As the world becomes more dependent on technology than ever before, how far is too far? Re-evaluation of these crucial human values in the case of the internet, considering the anonymity and level of privacy, is crucial to defending human rights. Furthermore, who is being left behind? What can we do to allow everyone access to important information? In this committee, delegates will explore these critical issues and, hopefully, discover solutions that can help everyone.

WHO
Join the WHO committee and take on one of the most pressing challenges in global health: ensuring vaccine equity and access for all. As a delegate, you will tackle issues of affordability, nationalism, and manufacturing limitations that continue to affect billions—especially in low-income nations. During COVID-19, the global divide was stark: wealthy nations secured vaccines swiftly, while developing countries were left waiting. From infrastructure challenges to patent restrictions, the road to vaccine justice is complex. In this committee, you’ll debate ethical concerns, propose funding solutions, and explore how to empower local manufacturing. By joining WHO, you’ll become part of a movement to redefine global health security and protect future generations through equitable vaccine access.

Catiline Conspiracy
Power. Paranoia. Populism. Rome is cracking–not from foreign enemies, but from the
ambitions of its own. The year is 63 BCE. As the Roman Republic teeters on the edge of chaos,
whispers of a conspiracy ripple through the Senate. Lucius Sergius Catilina, a disgraced noble,
is accused of plotting a violent uprising to seize control of the Republic. Consul Cicero swears
he has evidence. Catiline swears it's a lie. In this committee, you’ll navigate political rivalries,
manipulate public opinion, and decide whether Catiline is the Republic’s greatest threat–or its
last chance for salvation. Can you uncover the truth, or will the Republic be torn apart by
ambition and deception? Your decisions will shape the future of the Republic and determine
whether its institutions can survive.

Greenland
Ever since Trump announced that America wanted to take over Greenland “one way or another”, tensions have been at an all time high. But this conflict goes back to the late 1800s, involving more than just America. Greenland is home to abundant resources such as gold, copper, and most importantly, oil. As foreign powers such as China, Russia, and Canada show increasing interest in Greenland’s resources, economic value, strategic military placement, and ethnic population, the push for independence gets stronger. As a delegate, you will address the impacts of climate change, resource exploitation, and political tensions in Greenland, one of the world’s most vulnerable and resource-rich regions. It will be up to you to secure Greenland’s future and keep international security, while balancing indigenous rights and economic stability. The future of Greenland is in your hands.

Punic Wars
The Year is 228 BCE. 13 Years Ago, you and your fellow Carthaginians lost the 23-year-long struggle with the Romans - the Punic War. Your nation was left ravaged—forced to pay 3,200 talents of silver in war reparations and bitterly surrender its Mediterranean islands. Yet, against all odds, you’ve witnessed a Carthaginian resurgence under one of the finest Carthage has ever known - Hamilcar Barca. He had breathed life into a starved Carthage through his Iberian conquests—yet now, he lies dead. As Carthage once again stands as a formidable threat, tensions rise with a weary Rome. Many of your fellow statesmen, resentful of Rome for its deceitful peace and Mediterranean land grabs, seem to invite the chance to fight and enact revenge. A second Punic War looms on the horizon, and the fate of Carthage once again appears uncertain. How will you move forth?

This Ad-Hoc is designed for delegates with extensive experience in crisis committees as it is designed to be fast-paced and unpredictable. This design forces delegates to think on the fly and come up with unique ideas while juggling with constant changes within the committee. Overall, this committee is both exciting and insightful, and delegates should be ready for all possibilities. Good Luck!
